The Design & Development (D&D) business area works with product development, production development and design.

Design & Development has around 800 employees with a high level of competence, experience and commitment in the key areas that are required to achieve faster and better product development. Our 18 offices in Sweden give us a strong local presence.

The business area’s activities are divided into five areas: Product development, Semcon Project Management (SPM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Embedded Intelligent Solutions (EIS) and Medical Life Science.

Supplying complete solutions

Design & Development puts together a customised team of hand-picked specialists who work together to achieve innovative solutions with a focus on the complete chain from a requirements study to production development. A holistic view ensures that customers can cut time from sketch to production start by several months. Our business area also offers a series of customer-adapted training courses so that your staff learn how to manage, control and allocate projects efficiently and successfully. Design & Development is a partner who adds value in every area where your company needs reinforcements.

Alongside our strong local presence in Sweden our business area has offices in two other countries and we also own 30% of Norwegian consulting firm Kongsberg Devotek AS, which has around 90 employees.
